I am often asked how having a book can help in a publicity campaign. The answer is that books become like silent salesmen - those ever present reminders of who you are, what you do, and why people should be referring clients to you.
The power of book will also expand your presence beyond the borders of your home. For example I wrote What About Wally? Co-Parenting a Pet with An Ex in 2011. It was picked up for an Associated Press (AP) story on pet custody that was in turn picked up by the international wires. My book and the AP story were on the cover of the Kuwait Times.
Fast forward 8 years and I'm coming out of a meeting when my phone rings with a number from Australia. Now I don't often get calls from Australia, so I was very curious.
